4 Lessons African Teams Should Learn From Simba vs Sevilla

Sevilla FC became the first La Liga and Spanish team to visit East Africa region. The team took on Tanzania's  champions Simba SC at the National Stadium in Dar esalaam.

It was a fascinating match and the residents and fans were happy to see former Man City star, Jesus Navas and colleagues in Tanzania. It was a nice day for the residents as they turned up in large numbers indeed . The hosts (Simba SC)  were leading 3-1 by half time. Thanks to John Bocco's double and Medi Kagere's goa. Sevilla won the match 5-4 and here are lessons learnt from the match:

1. Never Say Never.

As we saw Simba sc taking the lead just 25 minutes by 2-0, many people knew things won't work for Sevilla. On the other hand,  Sevilla stayed focused and composed on their game play. They did not panic and at the end they won 5-4. Thanks to Alvaro Negredo's late goal.

2. The Final Whistle is The End of The Game.

Simba sc portrayed an offensive game during the first half and grabbed the early goals. They stayed focused and followed their game doctrines. During the second half, they relaxed and sat deep in their half to defend their lead. This lead to Sevilla setting their build up and gave them opportunities to strike. Like Promes' goal, the keeper thought he had saved the ball only giving the opponent a chance to net. So,  the final whistle is the end of the game do not conclude before it is blown.

3. African Teams Are Good.

Most African countries do not invest more on Football that is why even teams lack training equipments and grounds. By Simba sc challenging Sevilla, this is now clear that African teams are heading somewhere kn football.

4. African Countries Need To Invest in Football.

It's now high time for African to invest more on football. As we saw in Dar esalaam,  many people turned up to cheer their team. There are more football fans in Africa if countries invest on football then the fans will start cheering for their teams. Now it's the time to bring revolution in football. Buliding of International standard stadiums, training grounds, paying players in time, poaching talents from the lowest level leagues among others. It's time for Africa to rise up!
