Ancelloti: He Is The Toughest Owner To Work For. I Always Got Texts When We Lost Matches
Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelloti told an Italian reporter that during his spell at Chelsea, he used to get pressure from the owner, Roman Abrahamovic. Indeed, the Russian investor is business minded and I don't think an owner will be happy to count on losses every now and then.
Abrahamovic occasionally the watched Chelsea games under Carlo Ancelloti and when he was on the pitch, most of the times Chelsea lost. Immediately after the match, Roman Abrahamovic would send a 'question mark' text to Carlo Ancelloti who would then ridiculously, reply with an exclamation mark.
Since Roman Abrahamovic took over the London based club, a lot has changed in terms of earning profit compared to the first owners. So, the Russian is more in to business.
Eventually, Ancelloti was sacked after suffering a 1-0 defeat away to Everton in 2010/11 season despite having the third highest winning percentage in the Premier League. Ancelloti won 60 matches, drew 20 and lost 22 just after winning the double. A Premier League title and an FA Cup.
After sacking, the pair did not talk anything and Carlo Ancelloti received his money after the contract was terminated and departed Chelsea. The Italian manager believes that there's nothing wrong between the pair. "Abrahamovic is a kind person. He gave me an opportunity to coach one of the biggest clubs in the Premier League. Even after exiting Chelsea, I can go and watch their games." Said Carlo Ancelloti.
The former AC Milan manager tasted the Champions League glory twice with the Rossoneri before winning it with Real Madrid in 2014. Carlo Ancelloti is among the most experienced coach being currently enjoying 25 years in the game. Also, Carlo Ancelloti is among the most respected football managers.
