TITUS MAXWELL

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelloti told an Italian reporter that during his spell at Chelsea, he used to get pressure from the owner, Roman Abrahamovic. Indeed, the Russian investor is business minded and I don't think an owner will be happy to count on losses every now and then. Abrahamovic occasionally the watched Chelsea games under Carlo Ancelloti and when he was on the pitch, most of the times Chelsea lost. Immediately after the match, Roman Abrahamovic would send a 'question mark' text to Carlo Ancelloti who would then ridiculously, reply with an exclamation mark. Since Roman Abrahamovic took over the London based club, a lot has changed in terms of earning profit compared to the first owners. So, the Russian is more in to business. Eventually, Ancelloti was sacked after suffering a 1-0 defeat away to Everton in 2010/11 season despite having the third highest winning percentage in the Premier League. Ancelloti won 60 matches, drew 20 and lost 22 just after winning th...

Football business nowadays has been improvised and clubs nurture their own talents which at the end would be beneficial to the club. How could academy graduates be of benefit to the parent club? 1. Academy players are cheap unlike buying already made player. 2. When they are sold to other football clubs, they generate income to the club. Most football academy graduates have the club genes and mastered the systems of the club. Let's say like Barcelona, they had the best squad in 2010s because they had the La Masia cream. De Toekomst (Ajax Academy) Thanks to Johann Cruyf for initiating one of the best football academies in the world. Cruyf loved nurturing talents and the Ajax academy has been supplying the best talents to several teams in the world. Bergkamp, suarez, Seneijder, Van Basten among others passed through this famous academy. Let me stick just to the recent generation that reached the Champions League semi-finals. Hakim Ziyech, De Ligt, Daley Blind among others. Aja...

Attacking midfielder is a versatile position in a football game. Even the likes of Diego Simeone, Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho who are disciples of defensive football, still have an attacking midfielder in their team to launch attacks or counter-attacks. Today, we are going to look at 5 of most dangerous attacking midfielders in the world right now based on their performances and ICC ranks: Luca Modric If you mention Luca Modric, I know the killer outer foot pass that he made to Rodrygo that helped Real Madrid to advance to the Champions League semi-finals. Luca's passes are very hard to intercept and his command in the midfield has earned him a place in ICC top midfielders in the world. Bernardo Silva The Portuguese international is quite exceptional. His dribbling abilities will always leave you with 'aaahs' and 'oohs' for he can pass where there seem to be no way.  Also, Bernardo Silva's scoring ability and his bossing in the midfield has earned him a pl...

Most of his goals came versus Chelsea and Manchester United. Marcus Rashford-16 goals The Queen-awarded Manchester United star is one of those big game players but currently he doesn't have that spark he showed in the last 2-3 seasons ago. His goals mostly came versus Chelsea. Raheem Sterling and Son Heung-Min-17 goals Another Manchester City star who has a slot in this list is the Jamaican-English suoerstar, Raheem Sterling who netted a total of 17 goals against big clubs.
