How To Use Someone's Video Fairly On Your Youtube Vlog.

Youtube is a source of income to many people in this digital era. People post their videos on their desired topics on youtube and earn a lot of money in return.
It is hard for every person to have his/her original video that's why at times you have to use someone's work. Here are some methods to use another person's work without committing plagiarism:

1. Acknowledgement.
This is the safest but not the best way to deal with plagiarism on youtube. If you want to use someone's video, kindly mention the source/person you obtained it. In other words, you are giving credit to the owner for example: Courtesy of ABC...

2. Known Facts.
If something has been in the public knowledge, then you can take the video and repost it to your youtube vlog. Although you cannot be penalised for this, it will be wise if you acknowledge the video owner too.

3. Ask For Permission.
If you are really interested on someone's work, then contact them to give you permission. You can agree if the owner will sell it to you or just give you permission to use the video.

4. Use Only 15 seconds of the video.
Most youtube vloggers use this tactic to use other people's videos fairly. You cannot be penalised for using just 15 seconds from someone's video. I have seen more vloggers especially sports youtubers who take other person's video to make theirs. Most of the sports vloggers take the clips from worldwide recorgnised channels eg BT Sports among others.

Any person who uses someone else's video on youtube, is guilty of plagiarism. Kindly follow the steps above to avoid being sued or your video being removed from youtube. In case you want to use the video, you can turn off monetization on your vlog so that you won't be causing harm to the person you've used his/her work.
